Shell Shockers
« on: March 03, 2013, 07:18:04 PM »
My good neighbor brought a couple of empty sun bleached turtle shells over to me last summer, and wanted me to do something special with them...you guys all know where he, I, and this was going.....Shell slates...

I know its not original, but what the heck else is a guy gonna do with these?  They turned out pretty cool, IMO, and sound really sweet for spring with the cherry striker "head", and make some nice gobbler tones with the soft maple head...

BTW, the slate came from an old student sized chalkboard, 8x11", I found at a local antique shop for super cheap...and I've got plenty to do a couple more.....
Thanks for the look!  Hope you like 'em...
