Mineral Stained Poplar.. ***New Pic's ***

I stumbled on to these and wondered if they are what ya'll are looking for?
I have to pick them up over the weekend the measure 6" thick  x 8-9" wide

The wood is still green and needs to dry.. 8-12 months.
Should be ready for Nashville

    Stover & I think the top board is mineral stain and bottom 3 are spalted. It's hard to tell just looking at pic's .
 Only the top board looks what we've been cutting. The brown part should turn out green and the blue next to the crack will be black. The black is sometimes next to a flaw . Call us if you need to.

Spalting is any coloration of the wood caused by fungral decay.  The color change you see in that poplar is the initial stages of decay.  Not necessarily a bad thing. The wood may still be perfectly fine for call stock. Spalting can produce some attractive color variations in the wood.

On the other hand, mineral stained wood is a condition caused by minerals in the soil disolved in the sap.

You have some interesting wood there.

 Here is what Spalted Poplar looks like. Base on your photos, what I see, is mineral Poplar The two pieces shown have been stabilized.
