THE "WHITE ELEPHANT"
« on: February 26, 2013, 02:44:46 PM »
Back in the fur trade era, there was a saying when the ol' trapper knew the end of his days were near, that he was going to see the
"White Elephant".

I have built this call as a request by my son Will Garrett Mundhenke who is participating in a drive sponsored by Alpha Phi Omega, a National Service Fraternity, where he is a member in good standing at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA to benefit the
St. Baldrick's Foundation.

St. Baldrick's foundation is a research center to combat childhood cancer.

The call is made from Indian Ebony, with a carved white elephant antique button.  I chose this inlay for a child should be the last of us
to see the white elephant. I did the hot pin test on the backside of the button and it did not penetrate.

It is my hopes that a generous turkey hunter will end up with the call so that he may send many ah gobbler to see the white elephant.

It is a 3.0 inch call, slate over glass combined with a tulip wood peg.

All proceeds will be donated to St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Thanks for the looksee.
