My Nashville "haul" part 2
« on: February 18, 2013, 06:50:19 PM »
Here are two scrtaches boxes I picked up in Nashville.  The frist one is from Bob Fulcher.  It is made from redwood from the stable of "Seabiscuit", the racehorse.  It also has holly and a soundboard of mahogany.  The striker is made from the same redwood and holly, with the striking surface being made of Ipe from the Coney Island boardwalk when it was remodeled.  The second is from Tony Quarino, it is made from walnut.
