Guys, just wanted to let everyone know I am still alive and well, (mostly anyways)
. I apologize for my absence, it has been a long road. For the past year and a half, I have been mostly living on the go, working construction jobs out of the back of my truck at times, campsites,motels and the occasional townhouse I was working on. Last December 2011, I moved all my things to Maine, and began working for a friend Jeff building an office/storage building. Sadly, in April 2012, Jeff suffered a major heart attack and passed away after surgery. It was a devastating loss, he was a great friend, and we hunted, fished and snowmobiled together all over the north woods, mostly from his cabin on Matagamon Lake, Baxter State Park area.
I took over his remaining business and have recently completed all the work we were obligated to finish.
Now I am in the process of setting up shop. Last winter we finished the exterior of the building, we are now in the process of insulating, wiring and setting up benches and cabinets, we are almost there as far as ability to begin working in this space. I moved my wood, tools and benches into this space last week, the day after I moved it a large tree fell on my storage building doing major damage. Thanks goodness I got it out of there when I did!
We have also been working on getting an office set up. I am unfortunately in an area which got missed for infrastructure upgrades, so no cable or high speed internet. After having been spoiled in the past, this has been an inconvenience to say the least. My computer guy just re-formatted this computer, so at least it is functioning much smoother now.
Here is a picture of the new shop, hopefully we will be turning out some calls very soon, (and I say we since I have some family members who will hopefully take an interest and help from time to time, lol.)
As soon as I am up and running, I will be working on calls promised first. There have been a few people waiting for calls and I am anxious to meet my obligations and commitments, thank you for your continuing patience.
