we just had our Southwest Spurs NWTF banquet recently and gotta say--I walked out a VERY happy and proud member.  I won a few items but none treasured more than this call.  I actually didn't win the call per say--we had another member whos' lets say pockets are waaaaay deeper than mine can go and wasn't about to try and outbid him for this call--but I wanted it oh so bad.  You see Frank built me a long box call in Yellow Heart over Butternut as a house warming gift and it is outstanding to say the least.  Well Frank decided to build a call to be donated in the auction for our local banquet and when I saw that it was a short box Yellow Heart over Butternut...I couldn't believe it and wanted it bad but wasn't gonna try and outbid a friend and club member.  Needless to say I didn't win the auction, but afterwards my friend found out just how bad I wanted the call and he gave it to me as a gift!!!!  I couldn't believe I had lost the bid but won the call.  It was a very touching gesture and words couldn't say enough on how I felt but the look in my eyes-well he knew!  Thanks Dave...and a big shout out to Frank for building this call for our banquet.  It sits proudly next to the long box you built for me.  This short box looks as good as it sounds and Frank puts a lot of sound in his boxes---thanks buddy!

Joe, Congrats on that gift! What a great looking call by Frank!  I am sure it is good, I too have one of Franks longbox and its full of turkey. Give it a good work out this spring. Want to see pictures too!

Frank does build a strong box call.  Hope to see one of his short boxes this weekend.

Ole Franks boxes are really looking great---he has really been putting in the time and working very hard at it
