I need a new one for my Jet DX Pro 14".  What brand and what tooth do you guys like for wood work.  My factory blade finally went to trash and it was a 4TPI.  I want to get a good one.---Jason

I agree with the timber wolf brand.  They seem to stay sharper longer. I wish I had a blade weilder , you can buy rolled stock and save money.

Jason, I have had real good luck with Timberwolf also. Get one with 3 tpi for green wood. PS Woods have a good chart that dictates what blade woubl work for the type of wood being cut. Check them out.

I agree with Timberwolf..good blades. I have also had good luck with Olson.  If ya wanna put the blades together yourself you can weld or solder. But bring a fine touch and your A game.  It is not as easy as it mite appear. Takes some practice. If you do much resaw, a 3 TPI hook.  If ya want a finer cut and do some closer detail / more finish work, a higher TPI blade (raker or skip) will do it.

Glad to see someone mention Olson since I just ordered 3 today for my small table top saw. Got them from of all places, Amazon. The stuff they sell at Lowes here is JUNK. I might cut out 4-5 calls then it will break  . That gets expensive fast unless I keep my receipt and take them back but I'm tired of doing that. I even found a 4 TPI blade for that little saw, never knew they made one. Cost a little more than the junk blades but hopefully they will last longer. No place here carries Timber Wolf but I have heard good things about them.

I have mine made and I have metal cutting blades made and they last WAY WAY longer. I use two styles a 3/4 tooth configuration and a 3TPI both one inch blades. They are reasonable and last alot longer then what you can get from most stores. I can dig up their number if your interested.

I won't say they are the cheapest you mite find out there but Woodcraft has a good selection of Timberwolf and other blades.  I think they can do a custom welded size as well. Mite have to ask. I have found their customer support to be very good.

 just my 2ct worth .. i have used timberwolf and got sick of the blade that u cannot run any tension on it and i FOUND a blade call ( wood slicer)  that ALL i buy now and  my fav. wood is OSAGE and these blade do really good .  if you have the money buy a carbon tip but that 140 buck for  a 105" blade for my saw so that out of the question..just though i let you know what i be though on blades..brian

I use the wood slicer as well and I really like how smooth they run through the hardest woods and ivory. Never tried timberwolf but I have used olsen.  The olsen is like driving an escort and the woodslicer is like driving a Porsche.

I used the wood slicer it cut real smooth it didn't need much sanding but the lack of Kerf didn't last very long resawing green wood...I'm strongly considering a 105" carbide blade.....for resawing.....

BCSaw blades work really well too....

I also use the woodslicer blade on a Jet 14" bandsaw. Great smooth cutting blade.
