A visit from Jack

Jack Burrus called this last Saturday and wanted to finish cutt'n up the old Box Elder I cut up last year.

YA JUST NEVER KNOW WHAT WILL COME OUT NEXT?

They'll be some beautiful beard boards and tables come from this old stump

They may even be a caller or two show up in a year or two. ;)

kool flame dave..if you have another box elder & the time try this...slice into the tree about a 1/4 of the way with a chain saw...then let it go for about 2- 3 years then kome back & harvest it....you will be amazed at the flame...seems the more stress a box elder tree goes through the more flame it ends up having in the wood...of course i have no scientifik backing of this theory...but i do know an old farmer & wood worker that have been doin this to box elders for the past 20 years...

That answers some of the conversation we were having about that very thing. I will try that.
