Well I popped the question just before Christmas.  Sondra and I went to the same restaurant that we went to on our first date 2.5 years ago.  Before that though I got down on bended knee despite the snow and proposed.  We were out celebrating the last day of her semester and I gave her a special Amboyna Burl and ivory trumpet as a present.  Notice where the lanyard is attached.  Inside the trumpet barrel was a rolled up note that read "will you marry me".  Am I a sap or what! 

This was a no brainer for me.  I can play turkey calls for hours every day and she doesn't mind.  She loves having a call maker for a fiance.  We've already had some great hunts together and we will have many more.

Congratulations, Brian. It was great to meet you and Sondra in Nashville last year when you brought me my Snakewood trumpet. BTW, she runs a pretty mean trumpet herself. That is a great proposal and I am happy for you! She's a keeper as you already know.
