The camo industry really is a just a big marketing ploy, ESPECIALLY Realtree and Mossy Oak. I like camo just as much as anyone, but I think it fools humans much more than the animals.  I've had more than enough deer, bear, turkeys etc. walk right by me wearing drab colored carhartt clothing.  It is a cool new pattern that I'm sure will appeal to many hunters, but doubt that it is any more effective than any other pattern out there.  If anything, IMO the digital camo or something like ASAT is the best....just be still.

I wouldn't say gimmick, marketing ploy or the such as much as I would say Fashion Industry.  The camo industry is about fashion and statement of character as much as it is used for camo purpose anymore.  I am a huge fan of mossy oak and wear it as a Brand Name clothing as much as say I do my Levi's.  It makes a statement about who I am and my life style.

well put jason,....it's about so much more than the "camo",...that falls into ALOT of different catagories with alot of different things we use in our everyday life.

Well, call me gimmicky but I'm gonna have some because i like it and it will help add food to my freezer. I've killed stuff in white t shirts and khacki pants too. I also spend enough time hunting to see ducks and turkeys shy away from stuff that is outta place even when still. This blends in where I hunt and just adds to my chances.

Dove fields get hot in September down here. I shot the one below in exactly what you see me wearing. I used to be able to hunt before work. I saw this bird strutting with a hen on a power line. I doubled around in front of them and slipped up next to the power line next to a big tree. They worked right in, the hen came first, saw me and spooked...she just started putting and kept going past. i hit the gobbler with some cuts and he blew right up. He worked in to about 15 yards and when it saw me it was to late. And I was wearing exactly what you see in the picture. I had my framer in a meeting and told him I needed to kill the bird. Left him in my truck with the AC going.
