Congrats on your new design.  It's a nice looking caller and I'm sure it sounds good.  Why does it only seem to be working with a few select combos? Please educate me on this.

Thanks Lou. The call would work in an infinite array of combinations but i am sticking with my favorite woods for the bodies because they are consistent in sound quality. The lids will vary a little bit , im building a sapele over poplar now . Some guys get hung up on using as many exotic combos they can but I am taking the sage advice of callmakers like Lamar Wiliams and sticking with a few select combos that will achieve consistent results . But I do have a very diverse woodbox so you never know what will show up in a parquet call

Beautiful Call Bob.    I like the new design.   I've been making one very similar for a couple of years now and really like the sound you get with the step side.
