Lumma's Cane Yelper

Last Spring Steve come to the Boars Nest Turkey Camp. We had a good few days but the weather and birds didn't cooporate very well. During the afternoons we took a tour of the country and picked up some call making supplies. On the bank of the Jacks Fork River there are a few patches of river cane. The old dead cedar snags on the river bluffs didn't interest him near as much as the cane. Paul Wayne and Charlie gathered up an arm load for him to take home. This fall when he came back to deer camp he brought us some goodies. I've not seen any cane yelpers Steve has made before but I sure am proud of mine as I know the rest of the camp are proud of theirs.

That is a great looking yelper. Steve is a fine person and has a gift for making quality calls and other turkey related items. That is a winner for sure!
