It depends on when the call was made. If it were made for Doug while he was still living then it will usually go $25 - $50 . If it is signed then its worth a little more. Doug did not make these calls , he had them made for him. The guy who made all of Doug's calls is still building and selling them as Camp Callers so if they were not made for Doug , then they are worth face value around $20.

thanks gentlemen, i believe this is the older call, i was told if it did not have the screw holding the mouth piece it was the older call, i really don't don't know, just going on hear say, what about the oliver call any infor on it.
i am not going to sell it

Rev. Mike, the oliver call is a gooden', Denkas book has it at a M+ in collectability and 4 were were listed as being sold, low price on one was 10$ <high price on other was 316 $ giving an average price 162$. while I dont alqays trust the prices, due to alot of varibles, I do trust the collectabilty rating, especially since only 4 have  been recorded as being sold up to 2009, when the book was published. We as collectors, would like to see the call out of the box, as Denkas book doesnt have any pics there either. Hope this helps!!  Lonnie

Nice Call I have one also, It makes a nice owl hoot. I wouldn't sell mine. Can't put a value on it.

I have one of those Camp hooters. They sound great! I have seen them sell for $50 - $75 on ebay. In the package, I would think it would be worth at least that much. One later version was much shorter. The barrel chamber was about the same size, but the smaller mouthpiece was much shorter. My BIL has the shorter one and it sounds great also.

For what it's worth, I never carry mine. I have a few hooters that sound just like owls to me and turkeys rarely answer them. I get tons of responses from the cheap Primos hooter that sounds like a whistle???

Rev. mike, after a closer look see, I truely couldnt tell if that was the box or the NON-SLATE side of the call. If the box is in that great of shape, the call must be super too. I have never seen one before, and thats why I asked. the owner must have taken great care of it, or hardly used it all, both good for your sake. another thing that I noticed is the lack of a zip code, and that kinda dates it prior to 1963, and there again, I believe thats the date when all the towns and cities had to have zip codes implmented . you got somrthing special there . Looking forward to the pics !!

REV. Mike, thats nice, thanks for sharing, the wood appears to be red cedar I suppose how thick is the slate striker?  very nice !!  I wonder how durable the slate would be if the call seen alot of use?  how does it sound to your ears ? thanks again, Lonnie

lonnie, the wood is cedar and the slate  looks around 3/16 " , far as the sound it is not  that great. hope this helped you out some. rev. mike

Denkas Book is misleading. I see several a year sell from $170 to $265. Tops in a book I don't write is Da $240 range "today". Back in the daze when collectible calls were gettin prime, some did sell for Denka's book price. Yes, the good daze of call collectin if sellin. Today, prices can be 30 cents on the old collectible dollar in da Mickel days.

Now Da Camp owl hooter, not signed, older model/style....tops $65 wishful
thinkin range. More than likely in the $40 range.
