Snow storm in the South.

It was a memorable Christmas Day here in central AR. We went from rain with lightning and thunder to sleet mixture to snow blizzard. This morning we are left with 18" average measured in several open areas throughout my yard. It is much deeper by the house.

We got about a foot of snow and ice here in northeast Arkansas. Sure glad it only happens once every couple years. I would like to get out and see what critters are stirring.

We're having an ice storm now.  The roads are covered.  Hope it turns to snow before I leave work

Thats some snow their ,,We are in for up to a foot just started this morning comin down heavy the roads gettin pretty bad

This storm ran me out of Leesburg Va. at 8:00 AM. and followed me the whole way back to Pa. We had a white out between the Md. line and Gettysburg and got ahead of it before we got to Harrisburg. Glad we made it we are getting heavy snow now. Hope to chase some whitetail's in the morning.

 We have 8 inches here in Winchester, Va. Some freezing rain right now but we are suppose to get more on Saturday. Deer should be moving in the morning!  *up*

This is my driveway today. A little over a 1/4 mile and very steep. Last night with 5 or 6" of snow my wife's new AWD Sienna zipped right up it. Today with three times that much snow, it is stranded a few feet from the garage. I got out a little before dark to see if I could make it to work tomorrow. My Z71 with 33" tires went down the driveway great and the highway is very manageble. Unfortunately, I could not make it back up the driveway more than a couple hundred feet. My BIL made a valiant attempt to drive me home with his 46' Wyllis jeep, but it would do little better. I got to walk up that driveway in the deep snow! Good training for turkey season, but I don't like being stranded.

29 degrees and raining this morning.  My truck looked like a glazed doughnut.  Only one turn gave me a little problem on the way to work.
