Howdy Roost!!
Michigan's deer season is just now starting to wind down, and with the Holiday getting VERY close, I got back on the lathe and spun what was possibly my last two pot calls for the year..
On the left is my Brother in-laws, which is spalted maple, from a 100+ year old Maple tree from my family's farm, Glass over ... with a Crown Royal label laminated to it (he works at the packaging company)
On the right is my Daughter's present, which is eucalyptus (or lyptus, being that its farm grown), Glass over ... with her picture from this spring's hunt, when she took her first bird, also in the picture, an 11", 1 5/16" Stud!
Below are some recent strikers, wormy spalted apple, cherry, brazillian mahogany, and locust.
