Cherry Pot Call in Disguise
« on: October 11, 2009, 07:05:55 PM »
Here is a Cherry Pot Call that I turned and then treated with Home Made Iron Acetate Finish, Prior to taking off the Lathe. I only applied the Iron Acetate to the side of the call. The Bottom is the natural Cherry Wood Color.

Quarter Sawn Oak that was downed in Mississippi by Hurricane Katrina. The guy this call was made for sent me a slab that was cut out of a Huge Oak Tree that went down during the storm . Great Ray Flecks!

Quarter Sawn Mud Cured Cypress from Whithlachoochee River Green Swamp Area Polk County Florida. Notice the Growth Rings. Some of this stuff has more than 40 lines per inch.

I've been out hunting too much and missed these beautiful calls.  I'm really starting to grow on the Cypress wood now!!!
