After we work today we were standing at the shop talking and I told my Jr Field Staffer Steven to head over to a spot we had picked out and see if he could get a shot this afternoon. As I drove home he called and said they were working the barns so no hunting that spot. I said to go try his other spot we had found and if he needed me to call. I got home and not 10 minutes later he is on the phone screaming "I just killed a monster!!!"
I thought the kid was going to pass out from not breathing while he told me what happened. He got to his spot was talking on the phone while brushing the leaves out of his chair and looked up to see a buck watching him. He grabbed his rifle and punched him through the ribs. He never even sat down in his chair
Poor kid didn't even go look at him good till I got there a few minutes later said he was afraid
. Anyway here he is. Not bad for a 3 minute hunt. And yes he is mounting it.
