Thanks for the welcome,it's good to be here.I grew up hunting turkeys in western PA.I live in Montana now,there are some turkeys in my area but only a few tags are given out to hunt them,so I don't get out much these days.

Yeah, best to go with the 54mm over that 39mm Ruskie stuff! 

Dont forget the good old 7.62 x 63mm "thutty-aught six" Springfield!

Well we all butchered this one boys.  I kept looking at those numbers like this 

It's 7.62 x 51mm NATO or .308 Winchester.  Oh well, a great round nonetheless.  Perhaps we are better off discussing turkey shells and loads

welcome aboard 7.62, glad to have you here . These guys know their turkey business, even jf they get their rifle cartridges all out of whack. Nonetheless, always a BLAST  one way or the other
