Sometimes I get to use calls after I make them. I went out Saturday morning for opening day of gun season and had people shooting all around me. I had decided I wasn't going to see anything since the deer were getting cut off before they got to me. I took out my calls and did one sequence then a few minutes later saw a buck coming down the field.I got him stopped at about 85 yards and touched off my .50 Apex he ran about 50 yards and dropped. A big non-typical 9 point my biggest ever. Didn't get him on camera since he came in behind me and I had to get out of the blind, sneak 20 ft to a tree then make the shot. Not sure if he really came to the calls but I like to think so
