GOD BLESS THE USA
« on: November 11, 2012, 04:14:52 AM »
Just wanted to take a minute to thank all the men and women who serve to make this country we live in a better place. My oldest Son got home from Afganistan, with no physical injuries, but metally, it put alot of new memories in his mind, that most likely he would like to forget. So, remember when you see people who are serving or have served, go up and shake their hand and thank them for doing what they do! USA USA USA

We owe all these fine men, women, and their families (past and present) a huge debt of gratitude  for securing  the freedoms we so often take for granted!

Glad your son is home safe.  We have so many freedoms here in this country and so many take it for granted. The old saying..

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE

....is SO TRUE!  So many veterans of many different wars and conflicts have defended our rights with their lives.  God Bless them all.

LT summed it up well.  There are many things in this life I can do and would do...it was always clear to me though that serving in the armed forces was just never in the cards for me.  Nonetheless, there has been few moments in my life when I haven't thought about the blessing we have all been given by the remarkable men and women who have never thought of doing anything but serving.  With them I also think about and thank all of their families, immediate and extended who have personally supported them and sacrificed in all ways imaginable.  Our freedom is truly remarkable and it is easy at times to take for granted the life we experience because of their sacrifice.  They are never forgotten to me and I always take the time to walk straight up to many military folks, police and firefighters and personally extend my appreciation.

Bob, I am glad your son returned.
