MKW Malaysian Blackwood beauty

A few months back I asked Mike to build me a trumpet from some of the highly figured Blackwood he had found. He had several ahead of me and the wood was not quite dry at the time. A few weeks back he contacted me to let me know it was ready. Boy does he build a fine trumpet in every way. This is one beautiful piece of wood and he did it proud! The tone is perfect to my ear. Mike was kind enough to make a matching lanyard bead. I will have it on a lanyard from Del soon.

Here is a sound bite. Don't laugh at the kee kee attempts. I am gettting closer on the kees, but not consistent yet. You can hear the tone of the trumpet is spot on though.
