A Hen Box from Strutnrut
« on: November 02, 2012, 09:05:10 AM »
A few days ago, I called Richard about a hen box. He was working on two. I called him back to check the progress of them. He said he wanted to carry them to the woods. He has posted up a picture of the two birds killed while useing the two calls. The one I wanted was the maccaser ebony over apricot. It has a little more mature hen sound than the holly. My new box came while I was away at work. My wife played it for me once it arrived and that just kinda rekindled the fire. When I got home (almost dark) I grabbed that thing up and head outside. After a few yelps and cutts, a group of hens already roosted got all fired up. This one will certainly be in my vest next year. Thanks Richard !! I am well satisfied my friend.
