Blackpowder Deer Hunting

Our muzzleloader deer season started last Saturday here in Arkansas. It has been really hot and windy with very little deer movement except right at dark. My son and I both managed to take bucks, his a 7-point and mine an 8-point. Both were killed just before dark and I did not get pictures. I will post pics of the racks when I get them back from the butcher shop.

Congrats on the bucks. Looking forward to the pics. I went to deer camp for four days with my brothers and it went from the 30's and windy on Saturday morning to mid 80's on Tuesday which was exactly what I did not need with the severe sinus infection and acute bronchitus I took to camp! *lol*

I shot a doe for meat. I let a 15" 8 point walk, more because I did not feel like cleaning it than anything. Left camp long enough to go to the dr. on Monday and am making a recovery. We saw little deer movement and the only bucks we saw were late afternoon also.
