Using up...
« on: October 18, 2012, 11:27:57 AM »
some scraps. Like most callmakers I save all kinds of cutoffs and what not thinking I'll use them on something. I was in the shop one night when I thought that the thin pieces of snakewood that were sitting in my drawer need to be used for something. I looked around and found some thin pieces of curley maple, chestnut, wenge and mineral poplar laying around so I started gluing up a few striker blanks. I know that there's nothing special here but I do like the look when their done and they sound real nice on the calls I've run them on. Thanx for the look.

Thanx for the kind words. No more burn pile wood as I can use alot of this wood for anything from chalk boxes and turned plugs to strikers and striker tops.
