A Special Trumpet
« on: August 15, 2012, 03:08:34 PM »
Although the Olivewood in this call is spectacular, that's not what makes this call special. This trumpet is special, to me, because it is the one and only call that my son, Andy, has ever asked for.
Many times, after I finish turning a call body that I think is pretty, I will take it inside to show my family. Well, this time, Andy said, "Daddy, I want that one!" So, I finished it up for him. He says he will practice with it and get it down. We'll see.

That is a beautiful call. Your son will cherish that forever.

My Dad used to make custom knives, He made me one almost 25 years ago. It still rides on my hip today. It was special because of how proud it made me of my Dad and his talent. Your son will feel the same way.

Nice job Mike...
