Its not really a call, but Ive had some guys inquire about lanyards I make and some guys that know me from other boards tell me to post em up.
I caught the trumpet bug really hard about a year and a half ago. I went online looking for some lanyards. To me trumpets are classy and old school. I wanted something that fit the classic look. I didnt care for paracord stuff, I love leather. I went online and found several very talented leather craftman with some very cool lanyards, but they were way out of my budget some 125 to 200 bucks. I decided to figure out a way to make my own that I could afford. I wanted leather, light weight, and classiness. After making a few for myself and posting some picture I got some PMs from others wanting some. So I make them for sale. I do them on the weekends. I usually dont keep to much material in stock, I order leather as someone orders, make them and get them out. I usually turn them around in about two weeks.
I make a basic lanyard with beads with single or double drops, I also make what i call the deluxe model, its the standard with an added neck band, and then a combo deluxe lanyard with rings and hooks for multiple calls. If a call maker is willing to make a matching bead for a trumpet or you have a set of spurs, send them to me and Ill tie them into one. I use four colors, saddle, dark brown, checkered and black. Here is some of the lanyards Ive tied. The last three or four pictures are of the most recent way Im making them. I have started dying nylon to use for the drops. Its much more durable than the leather. I can do them either way though.
2011 Early proto types

Early 2012, started adding beads to dress em up
Saddle is to the far left, then several checkered from left towards center, then dark brown to far right. these are my basic lanyards

These are two of my Deluxe lanyards but a two toned version. The deluxe adds a 12 inch braided neck band. Left is Saddle with dark brown accents, far right is dark brown with saddle accents ( and the yelper is a MSharpe...highly recommend them)

This is my Hybrid Deluxe. Saddle with black nylon neck band, knot, and drop.

This is a Combo Lanyard, customized for the buyer. He sent me beads that matched his mouth piece material. It is a deluxe with a double drop to hang a trumpet sideways, then it has a steel ring in the bottom and side so you can hang a tube, owl hooter, crow call, etc.

These are my 2012 final product.....little bit of everything, standards, deluxes, and combo. I made a few changes to clean up the look a little and make them stronger and tougher. Towards the right is a black leather hybrid combo with green nylon. That one belongs to Rickey Padgett of Spring Allure game calls. I had made myself one, he saw it around the campfire and asked me to make him one.
