Fenceposts

West Augusta style.  *lol*
I have heard about Missouri fenceposts and mud cured Osage fenceposts since I joined turkey hunting forums and thought that I would give it a try. I found this puppy buried in mud and leaves beside my deer stand last fall. I scraped off the mud, moss and leaves and let it dry a little while deer hunting. At the end of the day I carried it back to the truck. After eight months of drying I decided to see what it actually was. I was hoping for mud cured locust but got a beautiful golden mud cured white oak instead. They turned out pretty good. The one with the broken peg is mine. The others are for the Three Amigos.

We've got some old posts upstate here and there, don't know what they are, but they've been there a long time.
