Davis Style Call and Case
« on: July 14, 2012, 01:48:13 PM »
A while back I made a Davis style call from the directions in his first book.  I wanted the wooden case to go with it but could never figure out how to make it until a few weeks ago.  The flats are roughed out and finished with a fine mill file and a scraper.  It took a whole lot of time, but was worth it.  The case has an 8.5" blind hole which holds the call by friction.

The original call was made of Cocobolo, but I used Blackwood.
