City Gun Buy Back Programs
« on: July 08, 2012, 07:45:56 PM »

These programs really irk me.  Folks selling parts of the their hunting heritage for a few $50 gift cards.  Watch the video.  Looks like a Winchester model 1890 .22 is headed for the big melt down.  Wonder how many fine side by sides will meet the same fate.  What is not shown in the video, (and was part of the article) was a photo of three double guns also brought in by the same man who is giving up the Winchester.  Criminals are really going to go for that .22!  What you don't see are the criminals giving up their firearms.  They are waiting for the folks turning in their guns to go to sleep.

I know that these people can do whatever they wish with their property.  But I stilll wrote the paper and gave them my $.02.

wander what meds that reporter is taking---bet its prescription....
how can anyone buy into that....
the only effect it will have on crime...is that there will now be more UNARMED victims !!!
Like you said Raplh---the criminals will never give up their illegal guns-----
they should prosecute them harsher that they do--the criminal usually has more rights than the victim  *wha*

So sad to see such waste of possibly some historical and or valuable firearms...
Apologizing:  does not always mean you are wrong and the other person is right.  It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego.
