Every time I see the grain in that cypress - visions of a logging crew with mules, large crosscut saws and axes, felling those giants deep in a bottom off the mighty Mississippi somewhere near the Baby Doll House comes to mind. They most likely had a camp back in there and floated the logs to a mill site in Greenville. In twenty or so years Holt Colier would be hunting bears in the nearby canebrakes. Remote and wild regions along the Mississippi back then.
Awesome call. A ton of history in each one. I know some PA hunter will be proud of the that one.
Good job Jeff.
