Another One From West Augusta
« on: May 15, 2012, 10:17:37 AM »
Steve brought me this curly Walnut striker on our recent trip to Kansas. I knew I was coming up again soon on his  waiting list but he really surprised me with this one. A real beauty and it has that great sound like all his strikers. Thanks again buddy.

I thought I would post my other strikers from him. As you can see I have a real problem. My ole buddy Jim Runnels and I sort of got in on the ground floor with Steve before he became well known with his work. I got several while there was little to no waiting list. Times sure have changed. *lol*

David,

I put my orders in long before Steve's strikers became well known. And I may order up to 5 at a time. Jim Runnels and I saw real fast that these things kill turkeys. I am on the waiting list for 5 more and I can assure you it will be a good while before I get all of them. I have been thinking about offering some of mine with a year lease option.

I was just teasing you, I know he fills them in order. I am interested in the lease plan except I don't trust me not to lose yours, I will just wait on mine to come up on the list.

A one year lease? *lol* *lol* *lol*
I like that idea.
Sorry for the wait guys. Turkey hunting has slowed down the production. After Saturday things should pick back up. My list is currently at 73 and growing.

Glad that you like that one Rickey. I didn't realize that you had that many.
Rickey's first striker was #70. That Walnut is #215. He did get in on the ground floor.

Getting in on the ground floor is a good thing when the strikers are primo! My first Torman is a Red Elm made in 2009 that is`nt numbered! Have eight total and still counting! *cheers*

I started numbering them at number 50. I knew who had most and came up with 49 then started numbering them.

Rickey, That is a great group of strikers for sure. Steve does make great strikers and I saw two birds go down to his strikers this year.  RkLu
