Here is a actor that I actually heard from another bird I first sat down on. The origional bird hit the ground in the fog and slap shut up. I was going to wait him out, but this ridge bird was feeling his oats so to speak. He kept hammering and finally I lit out for him. Got there, and slapped a mouth call in and pulled out ole Bullocks scratcher for a run. Boy, did he like it. The bird kept on and on hammering and I finally decided he was still in the tree!!! Went quiet for a little while which drove him crazy, finally a few more soft yelps and clucks and he pitched. He tried to hold his spot gobbeling at the little scratcher, but finally I heard him moving up the hill to me. Two purrs from the mouth call, only because I had to drop the scratcher and he was riding in Jeff's truck. The scratcher was the closer Tim !!! Thanks again Tim for the little scratcher, its been in on quite a few hunts this year---it has battle marks all over it !!!
