Tagged out in Tennessee.
« on: April 14, 2012, 02:16:38 PM »
After another slow morning, I moved to another farm and finally got on this bird about 11:30 today. Caught him out strutting on a ridgetop and slipped in and coaxed him to me. I shot him right next to a fallen tree top and he flopped into all those limbs. When he was done flopping and I got him out of there, he came out looking half plucked.  *lol*

He weighed 22 pounds, had an 11.25" beard and 1" spurs.

That concluded my Tennessee season. Ready to hunt Kentucky next week and Oklahoma in a couple of weeks.

Clint

Brent, my dad asked me the same thing.  *lol* I honestly have never seen a bird lose so many feathers. He was flopping pretty good in that tree top and feathers were going everywhere. I could have stuffed a pillow with it all. I hated it because he was a beautiful bird and the pictures are all jacked up.

Sure is getting real painful watching all you southern dudes roll these longbeards, but good going Clint and good luck in your travels.
