Adam's Finished Osage Call glass/glass
« on: September 28, 2009, 07:43:39 AM »
This is the call Adam turned from a piece of Osage that Richard at Ozark Custom Calls sent him, It turned out awesome. The finish, looks and sound are hard to beat. It will be his hunting call. The striker is Bubinga and this is the style of striker he has chosen as his basic style. Thanks Richard.

Folks I'm not doing this to bump this post. But if you see anything, any suggestions, any constructive criticism, it would be appreciated. I may be biased but I am a former master woodworker. This is a great start for Adam. The Osage may be the nearest wood there is for a perfect turning and finishing wood. It's my first piece of Osage to ever touch, but Adam says it is a delight to turn and I have never finished any wood that takes a finish better. Polish Mike you have got me buddy. Osage is King!! Long Live the King!

Thank You.

I agree.  It burnishes so well with your tool bevel that the 1rst or 2nd coat of finish is your build coat.  I like turning hedge!  Again, great call Adam.   Hope you like your strikers!
