Ok, friends of mine and chasers of those three toed turkeebirds, here's a special 1 of 1 call I have made to for the benefit of a special kid growin' up and studying at Brevard College in NC. She's a niece of mine that has asked me for some help or prayers to get her to Wales this summer on a Christian retreat. Well, seein' as ol' Redbeard stays broker than dirt most of the time, I'm hoping this special one of one call will help her out in some way.
It's a special treat to help her out as she's one of the kids today that has taken the right road. She has spent most of her youth helping and spreading the goodness of God to both healthy children and to those not so fortunate. It is her goal to spread the word of God in Wales, a country that only 2 percent of the population actively participate in celebrating the word of Jesus. It's her second visit to the country, so it's not just a sight seeing trip for a youngster.
Now most of ya'll that know Redbeard, know I don't wear my religion on my sleeve but you can bet your bottom dollar I believe. And you can rest assured, out of the 97 glorious wild turkeys I've taken, I've said a prayer to the Good Lord above to make it happen and praised him when it did.
The medallion is an bronzed eagle with Isaiah 40.31, which reads:
But They That Wait Upon The Lord Shall Renew Their Strength They Shall Mount Up With Wings As Eagles
You could easily translate this into your next turkey hunt, for if you have faith, patience, and give glory to God for your successes, those mighty bb's will find their way into your next trophy of a lifetime.
She's made to hunt in olivewood, a wood derived from the holy land itself. Crystal over glass that plays well with a purple heart striker coated in rainchalk. Signed and numbered 1 of 1.
I chose this wood and it's beautiful waves of figure on the top and blandness on the bottom, with the bottom representing the abyss for those without faith and belief. The upper half with it's beautiful waves of figure represent the beauty of faith and hope.
The tracks represent Christ, with the top track representing his crown of thorns and the other four his hands and feet nailed to the cross.
This is starting out as a true auction. It is not a charity auction either but MadHatter calls will not profit one iota from the sale of this call. It is my hope that that it will help a kid out that deserves it and make the winner of the call a happy man when the goodness in the call in both sound, beauty, and karma brings in the tom of a lifetime.
