Here is a little Poplar under Walnut that Johnny asked me to do after he got the Cypress caller some time back. Its styled in the OLD HEN pattern after Neils style with the 6 checker pattern he did. Johnny asked this call to be done to serve as a proxy for the origional that Neil gave him. The origional call has some story behind it, and also with its demise--hence the written part on the bottom of the call. Johnny, it was a honor for me to attempt to make this call for the reasons behind it, and I am truely graced that you asked. The sounds are sweet as poplar is. It has the older hen on the right side, younger on the left, a strong gobble and purrs to beat the band. I hope you find it worthy of the vest my friend. Thanks again to be a part of this build.
