two TURKEY THUGS in training
« on: February 29, 2012, 12:58:35 PM »
I was asked by my two youngest daughters if they could go experience what I live around...turkey hunting. I have coached these gals for 9 years with their softball and spent alot of time with them, but only my oldest daughter Hannah is the only one that has ever wanted to go hunting with me,until this season. Hanna's picture is on the cover of my brochure and on my website-when she was 10. That was I admitt is the proudest moment I ever had in my 40 years of hunting. Well, will get a chance to show LeighAnne(my youngest) and Allie(my middle) the sport we all basically live around...turkey hunting. Its hard to make time with their athletic schedule with softball and cheerleading both at school and travel teams..... this is our third time getting the Ole Benelli warmed up to them. They are shooting at 30 yds with only #9 shot and a mod choke. Funny thing here is, the eve of the hunt,,,little elves arrive *peep* and change the #9's for Nitros and a Rhino choke  ;D---they will never know it. Their shooting is getting really steady and they are ready to witness the great outdoors wake up at sunrise with gobbeling birds abound. I can wait for the day ...to let them experience what we are so passionate about!!! I just hope they feel it also !!
here they are ....

That's great Jeff, Took my youngest to deer camp the first time this year and although we didn't get a deer was one of the best seasons I ever had. Hope to hit the Turkey woods together this spring.

Good standards by you but, do they have the same sense of humor as you do?  If so, don't let them join OR.  One McKamey is more than we can handle.

That's awesome! I can't wait until mine are old enough. My three year old is begging to go. She will likely make an outing or two and sit in a blind with me this Spring.

Congrats on those two fine young ladies Jeff. I think ole Bob may be onto something. Your daughters got their looks from their momma. Sorry man but I have to be truthful on here.

I'm think'n along that line myself.
