a Magnolia longbox
« on: February 26, 2012, 03:07:31 PM »
here is One that I fought and lost the battle .
The owner wanted a Walnut lid on her....tried and tried...made new lids, tried at least 8 lids and worked the inside till I knew it was getting close ....so I picked another lid---first one and wow ....it was the one the box wanted. We wanted the look Walnut would have contrasted with the Magnolia, but I called to owner and he listened to many of the lids and agreed the Maple HAD to stay on this call. Shes a great call from one end to the other. Burned the morels on her before the tuning problem.  Hope the new owner likes her and hunts her like she needs to be !!!

Well, let me tell ya...if the new owner don't know how to run it send it north...I'd be proud to stuff it in my vest--he's a lucky hunter.

I've done a couple of Magnolia paddle calls and never could get a Walnut paddle to work. Cherry worked for me.

Pretty call. Great service to try that many lids and recommend a change. As a customer I would love that. Especially if you were doing it instead of scouting.
