I've worn LaCrosse, Muck, Northern, 100% Nitrile, rubber, neoprene. Dollar for dollar nothing lasts like the American made Northerns, I get about 800-1000 hours on dairy out of them. However they do lack support. The LaCrosse aren't worth a dang these days and just about everything else follows suit. Mucks aren't bad until the lining comes out and you find out that they made their stitching out of razor blades. Also many Mucks have a plastic type sole, much harder than rubber and much less grip!

I use 303 aerospace protectant on my rubber boots.  It's like SPF 40 for anything plastic, vinyl, rubber and the like.  It may help slow down the cracking, and help keep the rubber pliable.
