Nashville calls #5, #6, & #7
« on: February 17, 2012, 12:40:28 PM »
The next three calls, I was fortunate enough to get off the call competition tables.  They are all great calls.

The first is a mineral stained poplar one-sider from Olin Humphries.  It has a walnut lid I believe.

The next call is a trough call made by Josh Shoemaker.

The last call is also a trough call made by Jim Shelley of Persimmon Hill Calls.

Again nice looking calls, one question though on the trough calls, I thought the striking surface had to be recessed at least 1/4" to be considered as a "trough call" for the competition?
Apologizing:  does not always mean you are wrong and the other person is right.  It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego.

I don't know about the 1/4" recession.  I know they were in the trough call division.  I'm not real familiar with the trough calls.  These are the first two I have ever owned.
