« on: February 13, 2012, 02:32:05 PM »
Here is a super fine call from a guy that is off and running in a very strong way. Billy and Stover were in Nashville showing some of their fine poplar to us. Billy has been learning from a great maker and it is showing is strong fashon. I heard the box and I knew I had to get one...before they get expensive !!! Great job on it Billy----you are doing great work and thanks for the wood also.

"Off and running in a strong way."  I think that is a very good way to describe Billy Perryman's call making endeavors.  I was treated to the sound of one of his little poplar boxes, and it is evident that he is not only a craftsman, but he knows what a turkey sounds like and how to make his wood sound that way!  It was great to meet Billy and his sons!  Stover got the last of my three blue poplar scratch boxes!  Thanks for buying, Stover! I hope that log turns out about 20 board feet of "blue!"  I've got first dibs!

Jeff, You done good again, that looks like a fine call.  Good thing Bullock didn't see it but I am sure you had plenty of time to pack it away as he must have gotten you up early with his snoring. Lol
