My second Maryland bird from the Eastern Shore.
20lbs
9 1/2" beard
1" Spurs
I was set up near three dust bowls within thirty yards of one another that had feathers still in them I'm guessing from the day before. Hear little gobbling in the early morning and can't get much going since fly down so I decide to creep slowly to a nearby field. Sitting within 30 yards of the field I get a gobble within a few minutes on my Watkins box. The easy thing would have been for this bird to walk right down the field edge and let me put the smack down on him but I hear him gobble to my left. Now that he's in the woods I swing left and get a response from a mouth call. Within minutes I see that red white and blue head with that snood just a swinging. Well within range he all the sudden he gives that UHHH BOY!!!! look.
The rest is history.
Man I love this stuff!
