Deer Season 2014

I didn't make it out yesterday for the opener as it got to 70 degrees and we had wind up to 50mph. Today was much cooler and less windy. Daylight found me sitting against the same cherry stump that I always deer hunt from.  I didn't expect much this year because I haven't seen much sign this year.  I did see 8 deer.  Two spikes and six does.  The bigger spike was a 2 1/2 year old and in full rut chasing does like he knew what he was doing.  The smaller spike,  a 1 1/2 year old was small with a skinny neck.  No deer today but did take this turkey killer at 70 yards.

Good job on the yote!...Kill em all!...The weather has been strange this year for sure!...I killed a doe sunday in a tornado!

Calling for 4 to 8 inches of snow tomorrow.  Got the tarp ready.  I make a lean to out of it and ride out storms. Winter is here.
