 I like the sound of it alot, I would say that it sounds similar to a hickory pot with the slate.  It has a good break on it with a high pitched whiney first note.   I want to Thank you all for the kind words!

... a couple of very fine lookin' pot callers there - really do like the pot design - nice & clean for sure - the laminate caller is "way cool" ... *cool* *cool*
