I’m a soldier from Ft. Campbell and last Fall I had the good fortune to run across Richard Hudson while out turkey hunting. Since then we’ve hunted several times together. He carried me hunting again this weekend, and once again he had me all over the birds. Started out Saturday in a training area I’d never hunted, and he told me where he thought there might be some birds roosted at. Now, I’ve learned that when Richard says he thinks he knows where birds might be, then you can put money on the fact that the birds will be there. Sure enough Saturday about 0800 we were all over them, and I was able to take a small hen. That afternoon he went back in there and found out for sure where they were roosting. Sunday morning we went back in there and I was able to take another hen. We saw a few more and heard some only thing was they were on the other side of the creek. Before we left he showed me where I should set up at if I planned on hunting that afternoon. I’m not going to pass up a chance to turkey hunt so I went back that afternoon and set up where we talked about. Sure enough I had the first hen yelp back at me around 4:00. I was using a trumpet and a box call I had gotten from Richard, and it was more than they could handle. This bearded hen came strolling in looking for all the other turkeys that were in her area however all she found was a severe headache. Thanks to Richard she was number 5 this fall.

Well well well look who's made it over here. Guy I'd like to introduce ya'll to Tyler. This guy is a true turkey hunter who made his way here form Bama. He is truly a Great American who put God, Country and Family before all else but turkey hunting is his passion. I am the one who is lucky to have met up with you, it's my pleasure to be able to hunt with one of our countries finest and to pass along what little knowledge I can and the pleasure is all mine. BUT I'm going to hid your shells first chance I get. ::)
