Just talked to Mike. Seems him and Daryl are on a roll in Kansas. They're now two for two for MISSES!!! ROTFLMBO Daryl drew air first yesterday, and Mike followed suit today! Sorry Mike, but I have to do this!!! *aah* *aah* *aah* *aah* Mike, I'd like to tell you something... That little dial on the side of the red dot is there to turn it on!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember that... ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO On a brighter note, Mike did get a tree limb as a momento of the trip.. Not sure Daryl got anything but air!! *peep* Keep after 'em guys!!! I'm rootin' for ya!!! *up* ROTFLMBO Oh yea, maybe you should discuss who is gonna shoot before the gobbler is standing 25 yards in front of you.. ;D

Well the two very very successful Catch and Release hunters rolled into Porter's house and one (Daryl cough cough) is already sound asleep. Lot's of stories to tell, but someone must insist on asking Daryl what his Catch and Release stats are now.. .It's definitely not 1 for 1 anymore ROTFLMBO
I have photos of my trophy limb and unfortunately it wasn't an Osage one :( It's hard to pull your gun up on a Tom twice *cry* I thought ole Daryl was going to shoot him and he thought I was. We missed a golden opportunity at 20 yards...
Stay tuned for the story about Gobblie, Dummie, Reddie, Bobbie, Bugsie, Lillie, and Annie... I will say Daryl is very successful in calling in 10 hens to keep you penned down when the toms are on the other side of the farm!!!! In his words, he thought it would be cool *aah* *aah* *aah*
What a trip it was. Memories that will go back forever! It was a very very good time and now it's time to get some revenge on some big ole Easterns out here in MO! I do have to admit, I missed on purpose. Didn't want ole Daryl feeling down *up* I guess the ol saying, what comes around goes around.... I gave Daryl some big time *poo* for missing and the next day... I forgot to turn my red dot on and what a mistake. Lesson learned!
Oh and on a closing note, when it rains in Kansas where we were at... there is no BOTTOM to the roads.. we found that out and luckily didn't get stuck. Poor Daryl's truck is dirtier than it's ever been though and not sure how he's going to get that sticky mud off :)

Mike sounds like you guys had a great time. Gotta love those storms thurday afternoon and night. I'm head to the truck wash this morning. I found out if the road is gravel OK. if it looks black stay OFF THAT ROAD.

There are birds everywhere out there. Did I see you participated in Catch and Release too?
We've already discussed going back. It was a blast. I do think Daryl will stay off of the black roads from now on :) We almost got hung up :(
I think we saw on average 10 to 15 toms each day. It was some of the most intense gobbling activity I've ever seen!
