Title: Crotch Walnut and Tiger Maple

Here is one I have been working on a while. I found this piece of Crotch Walnut in a Woodcraft store. Never seen a piece of wood with this much color in it---even has a streak of teal in both sides. Had to try it. I put a Tiger Maple lid on it. Turned out good and the colors are unreal. Spent a couple of week building up the tounge oil on it.It was real cloudy here--the pic isn't ther best with the lighting that was avialable.

Jeff you were right! That is a beautiful piece of Walnut. A Magnificent call! WOW! I would keep that one!

Some of the crotch ones I have tried in the past sounded a little dead. This one has life. Have not got it exactlly like I want it, have just been looking more than tuning. It has a high start with a good roll. Keeps a little higher pitch on the roll than I want right now. Think I can get her like I want it pretty easy though. I am pleased with the sound alot !!
