Here's a project that I choose to take on for the Holiday season. I've always wanted to try hand cutting dovetail joints, and I found out it's a total kick in the butt! Of course I could have made a better choice in wood for my first try. This is almost 7/8 in thick walnut. There is plenty of gap to these joints although it doesn't really show up in the picture. The tool box is for my father in law who is a home builder and has just about everything under the sun, but nothing like this. There is also a sour kraut smasher I turned for my mother in law, it's made from walnut, cherry, and maple.
Click on the picture to enlarge, thanks for looking.
