Title: a Rick Alessandrini (RIO329)pot
Post by: jmck on July 16, 2014, 09:34:47 AM
Just yesterday, while setting vigil in the shop working, the wife came in carrying one of those boxes ya know ya cant wait to see whats inside!!!!!  She handed it to me with knife in hand waiting to tear into it. It was marked from Rick Alessandrini. I knew it was one of his pots and couldn't wait to get the striker on the playing surface. I told Rick for him to pick the combo for the slate caller for me. He did great !!!!
Its a Zebrawwod pot with slate playing surface matched up with a Osage striker accented with Bocote.
First thing I tried on the pot was the soft stuff and its S W E E T -the purrs, clucks and soft yelps are pure turkey. Then I leaned on it and cranked---really sounded great there too. This a very solid call slap full of feathers. Its a hunter that will see woods time for sure. Thanks for the great pot Rick---ya made me a great one !!!
