Title: New Wingbone
Post by: Silverspur on March 02, 2014, 07:14:07 AM
While at the PA boyz breakfast on Saturday morning, I had the great pleasure of meeting EZ from this forum and he brought several wingbones.  Well I was lucky enough to acquire one of them and it is a real great sounding call.  I only wish I can learn to gobble on one like EZ did when he ran the call.  Thanks Tony for bring some of your great work to the breakfast and it was a fun morning!  *up*

Yes Sir Bob, that's a fine call from a good ole' boy there. You done good on that one !!      RkLu              I liked that cowhorn /surgigal tube call that SUPERSTRUTTER had out in the parking lot, it sounded good too, you could "aim" the sound any direction you wanted, to even make it sound as if you were walking away from ole' tom bird. Plus, it could double as a beer bong for the after hours gang .     ROTFLMBO RkLu ROTFLMBO

I also liked the nail call too, it reminded me of the 1/2 coconut shell with the nail through it, made to strike on a piece of slate.  It was all good stuff goin' on .

The thread work and detail on Tony's wing bones is amazing!  I showed the one I just received to a local turkey thug, it was his opinion that a wing bone made as fine as Tony's belongs just as much in a display case as it does in the woods.

Very nice call - I'm sorry I missed that breakfast deal yesterday, sounds like a boatload of fun.

Congrats Silverspur!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm glad you all like your calls.
Please, DON'T put them in a display case, lol. Practice and kill turkeys with them.
As I tell folks, I'm not a call maker, just a hobbiest who loves turkey hunting and meeting others
that share this intense passion. The pleasure is ALWAYS mine.

Thanks,
EZ

Sorry to bring this back up but, the more I play this wingbone the more I like it. I am not great on em but this one is so easy to run, even an old dog like me can make it sound turkey. Tony, you done good and I will get me another for sure. If I luck out this spring, the bones are yours!!!
